November 15, 1996 Photoshop and After Effects top film and TV industry survey Adobe Photoshop and After Effects take two top spots in Millimeter magazine's survey of postproduction professionals. Published in the October 1996 issue of Millimeter, the Bible for motion picture, television, and multimedia production experts, a panel of industry insiders wholeheartedly agreed that, if necessary, they would pay double or triple for the Adobe products they already own and rely on for their livelihood. |

November 13, 1996 MacWorld says PostScript Level 3 promises new Internet capabilities "Distribute-then-print scenarios are becoming increasingly popular, but currently require proprietary networks. PostScript Level 3 opens this capability to the Internet," says Stephen Beale, praising the Adobe technology in the December 1996 issue of MacWorld. Beale notes that PostScript Level 3 offers advanced print management solutions for the Web. Beale states, "For the first time, PostScript printers will be able to process HTML and PDF documents directly. Perhaps the most exciting prospects lie on the print-management side. PostScript Level 3 adds the ability to control a printer using standard Internet protocols." |

November 8, 1996 MacWeek review praises PageMill 2.0 MacWeek praised the latest version of Adobe's Web authoring tool in a review entitled Adobe PageMill comes of age with Version 2.0. Singling out the program's tables-creation capabilities, reviewer Arnie Keller said, "Although competing products also perform these tricks, PageMill 2's tables were generally the smoothest and fastest to create." Keller noted that "another PageMill 2 strength is the variety and ease of linking methods," and said, "PageMill 2 truly shined when we created frames." Keller's conclusion? "In the end, we give PageMill 2 the nod for its stability, interface, HTML editing and rich feature set." |
